Fuji's Comments on Candidates for Mayor....
INCUMBENT MONDALE PASSES AWAY Mondale the Miniature Schnauzer, the current mayor of Fort Woof, passed away on October 8, 2006. Mondale was an early “poster dog” for the dog park concept in Fort Worth, attending city meetings and collecting petition signatures to convince the City of Fort Worth to build a dog park.
Mondale is not eligible to be mayor, but your voting dollars will go to support a place near and dear to Mondale... Fort Woof.
Vote for your candidate choice and Mondale!
Sampson has it all right - neuter your pets!
It's the only responsible choice for pet owners. Sampson reminds me of Donato, a "moose of a lab" who lives with me - a real sweetie!
Bear is the champion of all animals - cruelty to animals is not just the awful things that make the news. Proper care of a pet is important too! Yeah for Chris Berry at Animal Control, too! (Chris can't run for mayor, she's human.)
BIG NEWS.....
Just got the word from Chris Butler, Executive Director of the Westside YMCA, we dogs are welcome to run or walk with our humans in the Turkey Trot and there is no registration fee for us. I think it would be nice to give a little donation to the YMCA for letting us participate (fyi, Dallas has a $10 registation fee for each dog.)
The weather is getting cooler and that means ideal temperatures to take your dog to Fort Woof, Fort Worth's award winning dog park for two years in a row!
This year Fort Woof is the number one dog park in America, according to Dog Fancy magazine readers.
Be sure to check back for the details on Barktober Fest at Fort Woof. It is a great "on leash" event for dogs and their owners. Dogs are encouraged to come in costume to compete for a prizes. The event is usually held on a Saturday around Halloween.
Fort Woof now has an online photo gallery so that everyone can register and display photos taken at the dog park.

www.petfinder.com is where my family found my pal, Coco, when they decided to add another dog to our family. After reading about all the available dogs at local shelters, they went to the Humane Society shelter, met Coco and adopted him. He is a great friend for all of us! www.petfinder.com (available pets from all over the country - search by city, zip code, animal, breed, size, age, etc)
